500 delegates attended this excellent meeting in Cardiff. The biggest and best attended BSGE meeting thus far.
The society continues to grow and there is a increasing focus on endometriosis and fibroids as the main areas for discussion. The meeting attracts laparoscopic surgeons, nurses, endometriosis specialists and industry.
It is an opportunity to present new research (our group from the Homerton presented 4 abstracts), catch up with colleagues and also to see what new products are coming to market to improve surgical outcomes.
There was an opportunity to try out the latest in Robotic surgery and the newest camera systems.
The quality of the presentations from both national and international speakers was of a very high standard. Surgical techniques for dealing with difficult endometriosis involving the bladder, ureters and bowel were of particular interest and I have come away with much new information to further improve my surgical technique.
A very useful and enjoyable two days.
