You will be given a thirty minute appointment with one of our consultant specialists to discuss all your concerns and also to help choose the right, individual method for you.
Some women will seek specialist help in having an Intra-Uterine Contraceptive Device (IUD or IUCD) fitted, as they are more comfortable that this will be performed correctly and with the minimum amount of discomfort when it is performed by a Consultant gynaecologist

Your choice of coil can usually be fitted at your initial appointment. If you do wish this to be done then simply let us know before you come and take two Ibuprofen and Paracetamol an hour beforehand. This makes it all much easier.
Some women also seek specialist help with implant insertion (Implanon). We are also very pleased to be able to offer this service.
